WHY BITTERS

BITTER LOVE

LOVING YOUR

BITTERS

Bitters are a natural product, so a little settling can occur. It’s best to give your bitters a little shake each time you use them.

DISPLAYING YOUR

BITTERS

You can’t keep the rich flavors of Bluegrass Bitters™ under wraps, so why tuck the bottles away? Bitters are the heart of your home bar, and they deserve a spot right next to your go-to drink-making tools. Try one of our stave displays to really let your bitters shine.

ROTATING YOUR

BITTERS

Bitters last forever, but their flavors will fade over time. To make the best cocktails and recipes, it’s best to buy a fresh bottle about every year. If you don’t remember buying your bitters, you deserve a fresh bottle.

SHARING YOUR

BITTERS

Crafting cocktails is a social activity, so be sure to share your knowledge about Bluegrass Bitters™ with others. They’ll appreciate your guidance and be a little closer to creating their own unique cocktails. Bluegrass Bitters™ also make great gifts!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are bitters?

Bitters are the flavoring element that brings your cocktail together, adding depth and character to every sip. Sort of like how seasoning can make a good meal truly exceptional, bitters are designed to complement and enhance your drink, turning every sip into something truly special. Bluegrass Bitters™ are meticulously crafted to provide flavors of spices, fruits, and botanicals into your drink. With our bitters, you can create a unique drink that’s as rich and warm as a Kentucky sunset.

Do bitters have alcohol?

One of the questions that Shawn gets most often is whether bitters contain alcohol. Well, most bitters have a base of bourbon, rye, or neutral alcohol that has been infused with concentrated flavors. For Bluegrass Bitters™, we only use Kentucky alcohol as the backbone for our products.

Our Smoky Simple Syrup isn’t a bitters. As a syrup, its base is Kentucky water and it is non-alcoholic.
